Hiking at Lamma Island

Went hiking at Lamma Island (南ㄚ島) with my friends last sunday...

Still remember that when I was a kid, my school (in HK) will organize hiking and picnic trips during autumn... yesterday's hiking really brought back those fond childhood memory...

We set off from Central ferry pier in the morning...

Took a 30 minute ferry to Sok Kwu Wan (索苦灣) in Lamma Island... From there, we made our way up a hill nearby...

We climbed...

And we climbed somemore...

And we finally reached the peak after climbing like a thousand steps... But we were rewarded with fantastic view...

Saw this funny rock at the peak... thought it looks like a cat...

After we came down from the hill, we had a little break near the 天后廟 at 索苦灣... there were some shops and restaurants around so we went to buy some snack... and guess what I saw at a seafood restaurant?

My company's advertisement! What's it doing on Lamma Island?

After the break, we proceeded to Yung Shue Wan (榕樹灣)... On the way, we passed by a beautiful beach...

When we finally reached 榕樹灣, it was time for our late lunch (it was 3pm already!)... we had our meal at this place...

We couldn't decide if the place has got to do with cow since it is called 牛記 in Chinese, or horse as its English name is Mr. Ma (which means horse in Chinese)... So confusing! In the end we asked the guy working there and he said that the boss' surname is Ma and his nickname has the word 牛 in it... Haha...

All in all a fun trip! Looking toward to the next outing... will be going hiking again else where or going cycling next month... Meanwhile I'll get busy packing... Moving next Saturday!
