When Islanders Meet the Rain

Went to Sentosa with the choir gang today. The plan was to

(1) suntan
(2) play frisbee
(3) play beach volleyball, and
(4) play water

None of the above materialised due to the freaking heavy rain... it was THIS heavy...

Look at the continuous stream of water dripping from the roof of the bus stop! After taking the yellow line for two rounds, we decided to leave the island. And what we saw at the flyover next to HarbourFront MRT was enough to prove that this is not the kind of rain to be reckon with...

When trucks passed by the flyover, water splashed down like waterfall! Amazing sight! Even the kids who saw that went "Woah!".

We had lunch at HarbourFront before we went to Jac's place to witness her household's annual "Operation Bah Chang". I think they made like a hundred bah chang this year. And as usual, we get to be the first to sample the freshly made bah chang. :)

I like it that the mushrooms are quite chunky so you can taste it, unlike those out there where the mushrooms are shredded so finely that you can hardly tell they are there.
